SdK 58: Martin Almbjär about Supplications in Early Modern Sweden

The historian Martin Almbjär is writing about political communication in Early Modern society. More precisely he is working on supplications in the Age of Liberty (1718–1772). A short period of parliamentarianism in Sweden. Handing in supplications were a common (written) form in Early Modern Europe of making requests to the authorities – the Swedish Diet in this case. But the problem was that the parliament, which gathered only a few days every year, had hard times in making decisions.
